White Label WordPress Redevelopment for Agencies
Your client says the site looks old and asks for a new one. Most of the time it needs a redevelopment, not a rebuild: the same URLs, content and rankings, with the design, speed and structure brought up to date. We tell you which one it is, in writing, before you quote, and then do the work under your agency’s name.
Why your client should hear “redevelop” before they hear “rebuild”
Most agencies quote a rebuild because that is what the client asked for. The agency that explains why a rebuild is usually the wrong first step wins the trust, and often the bigger retainer afterwards.
The reasoning is laid out for site owners in our guides on modernizing a WordPress site without rebuilding it and whether a site needs a redesign or just a fix. Send them to your client as they are, or ask us for a version under your name.
Fix, redevelop, or rebuild. You know which before you quote.
Every site you send comes back with one of these three answers, the reasons, and what it would cost per hour and as a fixed price. You quote your client from that, with your own margin.
Fix
DaysA contact form that stopped sending, a slow homepage, a hero section from another decade. Isolated problems do not justify a project. We quote each one as a support request and your client keeps the site.
→ Handled as white label supportRedevelop
WeeksThe theme and builder are maintained, the structure still makes sense and the client’s team can edit it. We run a global design pass that touches every page at once, then rebuild the pages that earn traffic, on the same URLs. This is the usual verdict.
→ The service on this pageRebuild
MonthsAn abandoned theme, a dead page builder, a structure that no longer matches the business, a site never built for mobile, or a platform change. Restyling these hides the problem for a year. We say so, with the reasons, and quote a rebuild under your brand instead.
→ Handled as white label developmentThe work, in the order we do it
Global changes first, because they are cheap per page. Page-level work second, starting where traffic lands. Speed throughout.
Global design pass
Typography, colours, spacing, header, footer and button styles changed once at theme or builder level, so every page updates together. This is where most of the “new site” feeling comes from.
Page-level redevelopment
The home page and the pages that earn traffic and enquiries, rebuilt section by section on the existing URL, with the ranking content kept in place.
Speed and Core Web Vitals
Images, caching, fonts, scripts and builder bloat fixed until the site passes on mobile field data, not just a lab score.
Mobile and conversion paths
Layouts checked on real devices, forms tested end to end, calls to action and phone numbers made tappable and visible.
SEO preservation
A baseline export before anything changes, URLs and titles kept, internal links rewired where sections move, schema carried over, and a check after launch.
Builder and theme cleanup
Unused plugins and addons removed, templates consolidated, and where it pays off, a move to a maintained lightweight theme or Elementor’s V4 editor, with the content untouched.

From “they want a new site” to a launched redevelopment
Send the site
The URL and what the client said. No logins needed for the verdict.
Written verdict, free
Fix, redevelop or rebuild, with the reasons and the price per hour and as a fixed cost, within two business days, in your agency’s name.
You quote your client
Add your margin and your own wording. If they say yes, we sign the NDA and take a staging copy.
Global pass, then pages
You review each stage on staging. Nothing touches the live site until you approve it.
Launch and watch
Baseline compared after launch: URLs, titles, Search Console. A plain-English handover note in your name.
A fixed cost for the project, or per hour across many sites
The verdict comes with both numbers. The price is confirmed in writing before work starts, and we never publish rates because every site is different.
Fixed cost
✓ One price for the whole redevelopment, from a written scope ✓ Milestones you approve on staging before anything goes live ✓ Your retail price and margin known before you talk to the client ✓ Changes outside the scope quoted separately, never slipped inIf the verdict turns into a rebuild part-way through, we stop and re-quote. You never carry the risk of an open-ended project.
Per hour
✓ Agencies with twenty or fifty client sites that all need the same global pass ✓ Time logged per site, reported monthly, in your name ✓ Start with one site, then move down the list at your pace ✓ Switch any site to a fixed cost once its scope is clearGood when the work is repetitive across a portfolio and you would rather not scope fifty projects.
No contract and no minimum. The same white label rules as our support and development services apply: NDA first, no contact with your client, our name nowhere, and you own every login.
A redevelopment only works on a sound foundation. We will say rebuild, and lose the smaller job, when the theme is abandoned, the page builder is dead or the site is leaving it, the structure no longer matches the business, the site was never built for mobile, or the client is changing platform. In those cases restyling buys a year and costs the client twice.
If the client is on Elementor and wondering whether to leave it, our guide on moving away from Elementor is the honest version of that conversation.
The same senior team, under your name
Survyc is an AI-first digital agency. On a redevelopment that means we use automation to inventory a site, find every template in use and test pages across devices, and a senior developer still decides what changes and makes every change by hand.
If the site arrived with no documentation or no logins, our white label website takeover sorts that out first. We do not show client logos because our agency clients are under NDA. The free verdict is the proof instead: send one site and judge the reasoning. Meet the team.
White label WordPress redevelopment questions
What is the difference between a redevelopment and a redesign?
A redevelopment keeps the site’s foundation, URLs and content and changes the design system, the key pages and the speed. A redesign, as most agencies quote it, is a rebuild: new theme, new structure, often new URLs. Redevelopment costs less, launches sooner and does not put rankings at risk.
Will my client lose search rankings?
No, if the URLs, content and page titles stay, which is the point of a redevelopment. We export a Search Console and crawl baseline before any change, keep ranking pages intact, rewire internal links where sections move, and compare the baseline after launch. Only a full rebuild needs a redirect map.
Can you work on a site built by another agency or freelancer?
Yes. Most sites we redevelop were built by someone else. We inventory the theme, builder, plugins and templates first, and the verdict tells you whether the foundation is sound enough to build on. If a previous developer left no documentation, we write it as part of the work.
Which builders and themes do you work with?
Elementor, including the V4 atomic editor, Divi, Beaver Builder, WPBakery, Gutenberg and custom themes. Where a builder is the reason the site is slow, we clean it up before suggesting a move. We only recommend changing builder or theme when the gain is worth the disruption.
How long does a redevelopment take?
Days for a fix, weeks for a redevelopment, months for a rebuild. The written verdict gives a timeline for the specific site, because a 12-page brochure site and a 400-page content site are different jobs. You review each stage on staging, so the timeline depends partly on your sign-off speed.
Do you do the visual design as well as the development?
Yes. The global design pass is design work: type, colour, spacing, components and the layout of the key pages. If your agency has its own designers, send us their Figma or a style guide and we build to it. If not, we design within the client’s brand and you approve on staging.
Fixed cost or per hour, which should I choose?
Fixed cost for a single client site, because you can quote your client a firm number with your margin on top. Per hour when you are running the same global pass across many client sites and would rather not scope each one. You can switch a site to fixed cost once its scope is clear.
