What we fix

The WordPress problems we fix most

Most broken sites fall into a handful of patterns. The diagnosis is what takes skill; the fix is usually quick once the cause is found.

01

Error screens

White screen of death, 500 and 502 errors, "error establishing a database connection", and critical error notices.

02

Broken after an update

A plugin, theme, or WordPress update went through and now a page, form, or the whole site fails.

03

Plugin and theme conflicts

Two plugins that worked alone break each other, or a theme update overwrote something custom.

04

Layout and display bugs

Pages that look wrong on mobile, in one browser, or only after the page builder saves.

05

Forms and email

Contact forms that submit but never arrive, and WordPress emails landing in spam or nowhere.

06

WooCommerce failures

Checkout errors, missing shipping options, and product images that stop showing.

What's included

A fix you can trust, and a note explaining it

Every job starts by reproducing the problem on a staging copy, so your live site is not used as a test bench. We read the server and error logs rather than guessing, which is why the same bug does not come back next week.

Want to try first? Our guide to common WordPress errors walks through the usual causes in order.

✓  Root-cause diagnosis: traced through server and error logs, not guesswork ✓  Staging-first fixes: your live site stays untouched until the fix works ✓  Plugin and theme conflicts: identified and resolved without deleting what you need ✓  Error resolution: white screen, 500, 502, database, and fatal errors ✓  Cross-device checks: fixed layouts tested on phone, tablet, and desktop ✓  Post-fix report: what broke, why, and how to prevent a repeat
When you need this

Sound familiar?

Something broke and you do not know what changed.

An update went through and now a page, form, or checkout fails.

You are seeing an error message instead of your website.

Your previous developer disappeared and nobody knows how the site works.

How it works

From broken to fixed in four steps

Typical turnaround is 24 to 72 hours, and same day when the site is fully down.

1

Tell us the symptom

What you see, when it started, and anything that changed. No technical vocabulary needed.

2

Diagnose on staging

We copy the site, reproduce the problem, and find the actual cause in the logs.

3

Fixed price, then fix

You approve a fixed price. We apply and test the fix on staging.

4

Push live and report

The fix goes live, we verify it, and you get a short written note.

Honest limits

When a fix is not the answer

Some sites keep breaking because of what they are built on: an abandoned theme, a plugin nobody maintains, or years of patches on patches. Fixing the latest symptom will not stop the next one.

If that is the case, we say so and explain the options, including whether a redesign or a fix makes more sense.

Common questions

WordPress bug fixing questions

Straight answers before you commit to anything.

How fast can you fix my WordPress site?

Most bugs are fixed within 24 to 72 hours of approval. If the site is fully down, we start the same day. The diagnosis usually takes longer than the fix itself, and working on a staging copy adds a little time but keeps your live site safe.

How much does it cost to fix a WordPress bug?

It depends on the cause, not the symptom. A plugin conflict is quicker than a corrupted database. After a short look at the site you get one fixed price in writing, so there is no hourly meter running while we diagnose.

Can you fix a site another developer built?

Yes. Most of the sites we fix were built by someone else. As long as you have hosting and WordPress admin access, we can copy the site to staging, find the cause, and document what we change for whoever works on it next.

Will fixing the bug break something else?

That is the reason we fix on staging. The change is tested on a copy, including the pages, forms, and checkout around it, before anything reaches the live site. You see the result on staging before it goes live, and nothing is pushed until you are happy with it.

Do I need to give you my passwords?

We need WordPress admin and usually hosting access. The safest way is to create a separate account for us, which you can remove when the job is done. Never send passwords you also use elsewhere, and change any shared passwords once the work is finished.

What if the bug comes back?

Because we fix the root cause rather than hiding the symptom, repeats are rare. If it does return, the written report shows exactly what was changed, so the next diagnosis starts from there. The report also tells you what to avoid.
